Well I suppose to have someone not show you respect and show it nevertheless is proof that you really diserve it. Am I making any sense?

THANK you!!
I feel exactly the same. And the irony is, the people I usually hear going on like that are those least entitled to anyone's respect!

Actually - I'd disagree.
Everybody is entitled to a degree of respect from the off set. What happens then is, well, everybodys problem really.

Respect is something that you give and that you are entitled to receive until you prove that you don't deserve it. That is why people who are disrespectful are wrong.

Not necessarily. If everyone felt that way, we'd all be waiting for the other person to give us a reason to respect them, which would mean no one would respect anyone.

same goes for disrespect...you shouldn't accept disrespect if you didn't deserve to be disrespected...
you should be respected if you ahve done something good
you should be disrespecfted if you have done something bad
if you disrespect and haven't done anything wrong, then its not right...people feel bad...
