I haven't been there in awhile. Mary's Peak. The highest mountain(actually a big hill in Oregon) in the Oregon coast range. Right at 4000 feet and change. You could drive up and watch the sun rise over the Pacific Ocean on a really clear day. Oregon State University(I attended) is about 18 miles away. It has been a long time and many miles since I drove my little 1968 VW bug up the pavement to the top of that knoll. When I was much younger I ran cross country to the top with my high school track team. Your lungs burn the closer you get. Marys Peak is a more of a symbol than an actuality(is that even a word?) I dwell on it a bit. It reminds me of when all things were possible. I haven't been there in years. I suppose many of us have such a place in our hearts.

It's simply called "The Wine Shop" and within this fortress lies my secret rejuvenation fluid. Just a few glasses of my favorite elixir and my special powers are brought back to life. I'm able to become oblivious to my surroundings, insult friend and foe alike and be able to drop my pants and moon passersby at the slightest encouragement.

My Fortress of Solitude is my bedroom-it's a calming place and I can shut out the world for a while.

My apartment. I live alone. The walls are white kind of like snow. I have my t.v, vcr, game system for entertainment and books(mostly history and philosophy) for knowledge. I talk to my dad on my phone. Unfortnately, that bottled city kind of broke when I bumped into my desk. I also have a chair for silent meditation and introspection and sometimes brooding. Very few know where I live. The rest, clothing and vehicle, are pretty much like another caped-crusader.

I have a little make shift fort under my desk at work. I go down there and take naps, eat my lunch etc. It's pretty nice.

It's really funny when someone is looking for me - then I throw my voice in all directions. It really freaks em out. I love it

I love to wonder thru the city and be exposed to the other side of humanity! Not the work world-but the places/spaces where folks live life!

There are two places I go to....
on a daily basis it is Ipod land....music is where I recharge.
And about twice a year I go to Texas to a small cemetery....
That's what keeps me alive.....smile.
