They all hurt, but depending on where you get them and what your pain tolerance is will be depending on how bad the pain is.

I have several tattoos, the ones on my shoulder and on my chest hurt very little, where the one on my inner calf felt like a hot knife going through my skin, and the one on my outer calf hurt at times.

Different people feel pain in different areas, so it is really hard to tell if it is going to hurt you or not.

Go for it and good luck.

I have two on my back. One on top between the shoulder blades and one above my rear. The one on top hurt worse, but it was the first one, so it might have been fear because I didn't know what to expect. I wouldn't really call it pain, it just was like tiny pin pricks. It really wasn't so bad. I was talking to my sister the whole time. And I think it helped that I couldn't see the needle since I hate needles. Good luck. It's not so bad and they are very addictive. I stopped with two and I'm glad I did because I'm a 28 year old mom and it's weird that I have tattoos. But I do like them because they are a reminders of the "good old days."

Yes it does hurt. It hurts the worst under the arms on like the backside of your bicep. The back hurts less but when the bone gets touched by the needle its a tad unsettling. Eventually you kind of get numb but sometimes that numbness ends and hurts again. Don't get drunk before though like some idiots. That will just make you bleed more and heal differently. Good luck!

Yes they do hurt i got one just beside my shoulder blade it felt like i was being slashed with a razor but you get used to the pain and the closer to the bone it is the more painful it is.

Good Luck be brave.x

Just convince yourself it's not as bad as it looks... ya know... mind over matter? I have 3 but none are on my back... I do know the ones on each of my lower legs were like someone pulling off a sticker REALLY REALLY SLOWLY. The one on my right shoulder was like a 1/2 hour shot in the arm... just remember the mind over matter theory and you'll be fine.

It's a straight forward question, I like questions like this one. Yes, they do hurt a bit, even with using with whatever necessary to go with it, and it lingers for a while. But the upper parts of your back hurt a little less.

All tattoos hurt, sweetie. I have a tattoo on my hip bone & trust me it wasn't feeling like a feather being tickled on me. The thing is to just be relaxed & don't squirm. It'll only make things worse.

Yes they do no matter where they are located. It is generally understood 'the closer to the bone the more it will hurt' meaning areas that are more fleshy will hurt less. Pain is pain so have fun and make sure it's sanitary
