It is not liberals who believe this. Is is pro choice people. If you are going to be critical of someone or something, you'd be best to get your name calling straight first.

I am not full on into either camp. While I am against abortion because pregnancy is inconvenient, I am full on in support of them when a rape has occurred or when it is known the resulting child will be born with severe handicaps. I think it unspeakibly cruel for a girl who has been raped by her stepfater to carry a pregnancy to term. I am not willing to accept there is any humane aspect of that.

What I never ever hear any politician or pro-lifer mention is how all of these people will be cared for if they were born instead of aborted. If all the aborted fetuses were to be born, and, say, put up for adoption, are we, as a society, prepared for the massive increase in funding that will be need to fed into the public welfare system to pay for all the social workers that would be needed to monitor the prospective families, the pregnant woman, etc, as well as all the new judges and public attorneys we would need to accomodate this surge in family court issues that come with adoptions? If we are going to tell women they must plan for the consequences of their actions in the bedroom, we MUST be at least as responsible in planning for the consequences of our new and future citizens. You think these "babies" are so deserving of life, I only hope you are as adamant about their deserving of a decent life once they've arrived--that makes me wonder how anyone can be pro-life and anti-liberal at the same time...that is a question I cannot comprehend.

For the same reason they think it is OK to kill an unborn child. Mass of cells or not, it has the potential to be a human being.

Why women have abortions
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

Liberals, you need to stop lying to yourselves and KNOW the scientific facts on unborn babies.

It makes the whole subject of abortion more acceptable for them by blinding themselves from the truth (and the exercise of common sense).

Very sad indeed.
