Everyone carries weight differently. I didn't show until I was 5 months and even then it was just a little bump. If a woman has had previous children then she usually will show sooner also.
And let me warn you, when you do start to show it will be an overnight thing. Seriously you will wake up and be like "where did this belly come from".
Congrats!!

The time when a woman starts to show depends on a lot of things: if it's her first (...or fifth!) pregnancy and her body type.
When it's the first baby, your body isn't familiar with what's happening. So, it takes a while for the belly to start showing. I wasn't able to see change until 4 1/2 mo, and others didn't see it until 5 mo. (Even then, I felt like I looked fat and not pregnant! Frustrating!)
I am so sorry to hear that you miscarried. If you miscarried early in the pregnancy, then your body didn't expand to it's full 9 months form. Therefore, it's acting like it's your first pregnancy. Also, if you're more active and fit, that may explain why your body isn't jumping back into the pregnancy belly mode.
It also depends on your body type. If someone is a below average BMI (Body Mass Index), they'll most likely show earlier. If someone is a high-normal to high BMI, the belly may just blend in a little better. (This also could explain why some women feel the baby kick earlier than others.)
I completely understand how frustrating it is to not show. For the first 4 1/2 months, the only way I knew I was pregnant was because I kept throwing up! And then I started getting a belly, and I wished I'd look pregnant and not fat! And then I got the belly...and I longed for the day I could sleep on my stomach! :)
Honestly, it sounds like your pregnancy belly growh (or lack there of) is completely normal. If you're concerned with your growth, definitely speak with your DR about it.
Hope this helps!

I read an article about a woman who didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor. She thought her periods were off because of early menopause. She was slightly overwieght, but there were pictures of her a week before she gave birth and she really doesn't look pregnant, it turns out she was just carrying the baby really close to her backbone. I don't think you have anything to worry about with not showing yet. My cousin is thin and she really didn't start to show until about five months when her belly just came out of nowhere. In the what to expect book, it has pictures of different women and the way they carry, if you carry more below your bellybutton toward your pelvis, you probably won't see much change until the uterus creeps up higher. Some women who show early carry more toward their middle so it's harder to hide. I can see why you would be more stressed this time, hoping that everything goes well, but your best bet to ease your mind is to just concentrate on your ultrasounds and doppler, when you hear and see the baby, you will know s/he's ok. :)

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and I am showing alot. Its not because Im over eating, or getting fat like some of these women are saying...Because I have been extremely sick with morning sickness and still am and havent gained weight. It just all depends on the person. Im sure after having 3 babies already, my stomach muscles are not in the best shape and stretch much easier and faster. So dont stress over it. Everyone is different. I have a friend who is 14 weeks, and you would never know she is pregnant, but its her first baby, and my other friend who is on her 3rd baby was showing when she was 3 and 4 months also. So dont worry if your not showing. Just means your stomach muscles are probably in good shape so far..:)

Sweetie, everybody is different. They may think they are showing real bad, but in fact, people can hardly tell if you are pregnant at 4 months. Most women do start to show at four months. Bigger girls it's harder to tell, but with short skinny girls, it's not. If you are worried about how little you show, look at other girls your size and see how well they show. I am 5'5" and started my first pregnancy at 130 lbs. At three months, you could see a little pooch. It wasn't until I was nearly six months along that I really stuck out there and blew up. My husband's cousin is 5'9" and when she was Eight months along, you could hardly tell she was pregnant. She looked a little fat, but that was all. Every woman is different, you shouldn't get cought up in what other girls are experiencing. Some things, like edema, I am thankful that I don't have. I was given stretch marks, and some other women don't while they do have varicose veins. My direct cousin was blessed not to have stretch marks, but she got edema and high blood pressure as well as varicose veins. I don't pay much mind to what the other girls go through. I was blessed with two healthy pregnancies and two beautiful girls. Ten fingers; ten toes. That is what matters most to me. I can get rid of the rest. Congratulations and good luck!!!!

I wore my regular jeans until the 5th month of my first pregnancy. Everyone is different. I'm so sorry about the miscarriage. I had a miscarriage during my second pregnancy. It's very emotional, and much more common that most people know. 4 months later I got pregnant with my son. I started showing with him a little earlier than with my first.

it just depends on the person, I am overweight already, so I'm showing maybe a little, but not much. I"m 19 weeks, and as of right now, don't have much to show, but my husband can feel my belly getting harder. It'll just take time, and some women grow huge, where you can really tell, others just have a little bulge, so don't worry, because it just may take you a little longer! Congrats adn good Luck!

My last pregnancy was twins and I didn't show for 5 months. If they are showing before 4 months most likely they have been overeating!

Every woman and every pregnancy is different. Me and my sister was pregnant at the same time and when she was 5 months she was showing but i did not show none at all throughout my entire pregnancy.
I only gained 11 pounds and my baby weighed 4lbs, 15.6oz.
Some people don't show until later on in their pregnancy like from 6 months or later. Or you may not show at all.
It dosen't mean that your baby is not healthy. My son was healthy.
Good luck
