if you are from marseille, what is there to do?

My sincere advice, don't go there, or if you do, don't go alone.
There are plenty of places just outside Marseilles which are far better, warmer and enjoyable.
I you want to compare I give you Newcastle, Liverpool, Southampton, etc.. It is a port and populated mainly by lovely people from North Africa like Algeria.

I visited Marseille once and the thing not to do is go out onto the streets at night..........the police seem to be forever chasing people wildly firing guns ......very frightening... day time lovely place

Roberto b is right.marseilles isn't a very nice city but you only can decide what to do.
