I used to have a serious flea problem. I couldn't keep them off my dog and cat. Now I use a product called Talstar EZ. That was over a year ago and I haven't seen a flea since. You can't buy it just anywhere. I got it at a store that sells strictly insecticides and fertilizers. It has to be reapplied every six months.
If you follow the directions and precautions you won't have any problem. I put it on my front yard first and made sure my critters didn't go out there for a couple of days. Then I put it on my back yard and kept them out of it for a couple of days.

Go to the garden section and find a good insectacide, which kills ants , fleas, and lots of stuff you probably do not want to kill, or find some natural product that is supposed to kill them or keep them away, like VINEGAR? maybe..

It is impossible to kill all the fleas in your yard. You are better off dealing with the ones on your pet or in your home.

Its very difficult on your own. Its best, from my experience, to have a professional pest control company come in on a regular basis. Our company de-bugs the house and the yard. We don't have bug problems of any sort.

your local home improvement store (lowes or home depot) or even Walmart will have chemical spray or powder to use in your yard. You can also call a pest control company like Terminix

Spray, spray and more spray. You also need to get rid of them in your home too. (that is if you have a dog or cat) because although you may not see them, they are there laying nasty little eggs. I hear that Dawn liquid dish detergent mixed w/water in a spray bottle is good, also salt in your carpet. There are many things. Good luck!
