Brazilian is when there is a little "landing strip" Hollywood is all off. I'm booked in tomorrow and am a bit scared as I haven't used the salon or had a wax before. Has anyone experienced this/have any opinions?

its fine - the first time you have it done can be slightly embarrsing - but its defo worth it and the slight discomfort which is momentarily.....you may want to start with the brazilian and then next time hollywood.
but once its done - its a really nice feeling that last for weeks

I've had both done as well, and really there is not much of a difference. If you're not sure, then ask your beautician to start off with a Brazilian. From there, you can always get him/her to thin out the strip, or to remove it completely for a full Hollywood.
I prefer the Hollywood myself, only because I love the feeling of the smoothness, but it's definitely a personal preference. If it's your first time, it will look a little "weird" to see everything gone!

I have had both a hollywood and brazilian wax - there is not much difference between them apart from as you say, one has a small strip and the other doesn't - it's personal preference, but I personally felt a bit weird having absolutely nothing down there!
If it is your first time I would recommend you take come painkillers 15 mins before hand as it can be painful, but if you keep getting it done regularly it will not hurt as much each time!

I've had both and I prefer the brazilian. It's sexy without feeling like you're 10 years old. I recommend taking some asprin maybe 30 minutes before hand. It helps thin the blood a little. It's not a lot of fun, but it's definately worth the results!

Had a brazilian - possibly the most painful experience of my life! Also the regrowth is itchy and pimply - just my own personal opinion, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone! I fully advocate pubic hair!

Just shave it or use Nair its way cheaper and you get the same effect....but of course if your a model and wear bikinis all the time then go for it...

Why would you want to do that to yourself??? and to have to pay to get it done too! whats the world coming to?
I couldn't put myself through it, a few of my friends have had them and don't see the facination at all.
Very Painful by all accouts!
