Maybe I need to clarify my question: If you watched "The View" today (Oct. 6) you will notice Barbara Walters is absent, but hosting in her place is a black woman, what is this woman's name???

Okay, well, there is no more Star Jones and Rosie O'Donnell is on, now. She maybe taking the "hosting" place that Meredith Viera once had. (Personally, Katie should have stayed with 'Today' and Meredith should have been the new female host of the CBS Evening News.) Anyway, I like Rosie, well, I use to watch her when she had her own show on ABC and was winning awards left and right. but, now, it is too much. We already have a opinionated, funny comedian and that is Joy Baher.
Barbara did this not only to rub Star the wrong way (because Rosie said her opinions about her "weight loss") but, because they have never won an Emmy and Rosie did. If they could get Rosie on, then, imagine, they possibly could win one.

The show was originally called The View From Here. However, there was already a program airing in Canada with the same name, and ABC execs decided to change the name to simply The View.....
