I have been working out for about 4 months now and just wanted some advise on what is the better workout routine. Just to let you know my goal is to gain strength and size, and I do a full body workout when I go to the gym, it usually take me a little over and hour.
Would it be better for me to workout two days a week (Mon. and Thur.) and give my body longer to recover. Or workout three days a week(Mon., Tues., and Fri.)and get in the extra day. Which would be better to accomplish my goals?

You probably could move onto splitting the workouts into upper and lower body. Then give those bodyparts at least 48 hours (probably better 3 days) of rest between. So, no, if you're going to stick to the whole body workout, I don't think you should be doing two consecutive days. What about Monday and Thursday, upper body, and Tuesday and Friday, lower?

The best thing to do is keep working 3-4 times a week. Prior to going to the gym, you may want to consider drinking a Protein shake or a protein bar. Do the same when you get home from the gym. When you are at the gym, focus on certain body parts, for example biceps and triceps one day, legs one day and chest and back one day. You will see much better results. Another good thing to try is supersets. This will cut your work out time in half, but will not effect the results. Instead of resting for 3 minutes after each set, try only resting 30 seconds and then move into another set of another movement. Keep the protein in your diet...

3 days a week is better if you're trying to gain size/strength (dont forget the protein needed for gaining...body weight x 2 is about the amount of protien you should be taking).
if you're only doing 3 days a week, Mon/Wed/Friday for example, i would do:
Biceps/Triceps on Monday
Legs on Wednesday
Chest/Back/Shoulders on Friday

that way you're getting the necessary rest time for all your major muscles, and you're not overlapping your workouts. Mon/Tue/Friday is a hard split, but you could move the lower body workout from Wed to Tuesday without much problem.
