I think so many men are just so macho that they wont express themselves emotionally. They want to keep that "cool" about them. I on the other hand am not afraid to express myself, either physically or verbally. How else would another person know how you feel. To some women, a guy being emotional is a big turn on.

They are socialized to be less emotional. Boys are taught from a young age to be strong. Most boys are told that they shouldn't cry and that they should take care of women. Also, it is part of their genes because men have a tendency to think of one thing at a time while women think of several things at a time and women tend to overthink things (or over analyze), so it makes women tend to me more emotional.

Because men are traditionally trained by their parents, teachers and others to supress emotions and "be strong"; it takes a lot of effort and training to overcome that.
