why did kane take off his mask?

Awesome match!

Kane had a match with Triple-H for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Stipulation was that if Kane lost, he would have to remove his mask. It was a hard-fought match but Kane lost in the end. Triple-H did the honours and opened his mask.

After that, it was mayhem everywhere. Triple-H got kicked and punched and ran outta there. Kane then covered his face with his hands and tried not to show his face. It was a rampage and Kane went ballistic. He threw chairs and pushed the announcer's table. You get the picture!

Imagine a monster being unleashed and embarrassed at the same time. That's what it was.

Some people say there were two Kanes. The old Kane retired so the new Kane came with the same gig. Later, they removed his mask. Not sure how true that is.

the reason to why Glenn "Kane" Jacobs removed the mask was because the Kane character needed to be refreshed and given a new gimmick, and there was only two men behind it that was Glenn and his boss Vince McMahon. and everyone knew Kane for his Hellfire and Brimstone persona, or the Big Red Machine persona. either way Glenn and Vince both agreed that the Kane character needed a new approach and the only way you could of done that was to remove his mask. after he removed it Glenn said himself he gained a bit more popularity and was asked to do a horror movie in 2006 called See No Evil, where the story was he was meant to be the hand of god doing God s evil deeds to those who didn t see the sin. he then returned later with another half mask, and outfit donning the post-mortem look on his attire. but on his boots he still had the fire flame effect, but then because of how popular his movie was, he was then approached to do a follow up called See No Evil 2, so he had to shave his hair AGAIN, and once again remove his mask, he went of and made SNE2 and he came back and ever since he returned he s been on camera without his mask, and personally I think he should go back to his 1997 look that rocked

was a cool match....Eric Bishoff was da GM....made da match Kane vs HHH fer da world heavyweight championship....onlt thin was if Kane lost he would hav 2 remove his mask....dont remember but sum1 interfered an Kane lost da match.After dat he went mad an started attackin every1 member of Evolution...RVD came 2 his help.....said he would still be his frnd even if Kane took his mask off.Kane did RVD ran an da HELLBROKE LOSE
