Why women have abortions
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

Liberals don't want to be confused with the facts. Their itty-bitty minds can't handle more than what they have already been programed with - Demorat dogma. While they CLAIM to be concerned about human welfare, libs have little to no regard for the sanctity of life.

Yes, it is human, and a complete human - just at a very early stage of development. It is NOT "just like a skin cell" - unless skin cells devlop into full human beings like you and me.

But there is another consideration - the mother. Rightly or wrongly, we strike a balance. For instance, I assume no one opposes abortion to save a mother's life.

We decide to "kill humans" all the time - war, death penalty, abortion - when some other consideration outweighs the interest in protecting life.

I think abortion is generally immoral. But I also think we can't just lock up all the pregnant women to prevent them from aborting.

But I also think that the argument that "they are unwanted anyway" is grotesque. Can we empty out all the retirement homes too?

It's a tough issue.

I don't have enough time or space to go into what the laws would be if I were in charge . . .

no man or woman likes the conception of abortions. they are undesirable. regrettably, they are what's regularly conventional as a "needed evil." the mission isn't that Liberals are satisfied with abortions or what they entail, yet truly that with the intention to guard a woman's proper to her own body- a woman by skill of how, is a very advanced man or woman together with her own recommendations and emotions- and to guard *what's already right here*. Bringing a baby up is extreme priced. females are also better regularly than no longer envisioned to take care of stated baby could the daddy use his fashionable "i'm no longer paying baby help" line because the least-paid-in accordance to-hour demographic in our united states of america. it truly is why they stand in the back of girls's rights. no longer because they are evil, no longer because it really is a exciting difficulty, yet because they are conserving an exceedingly weak crew. As REPUBLICAN Betty Ford once stated: "Having toddlers is a blessing, no longer an legal responsibility." If we can stumble on a thanks to get rid of rape and incest (this stuff do happen and are carried out by skill of the fairly evil between us) and suited feed, dress, protect, boost, coach, employ, and recognize the lives of each baby we've already got between us, then i'm confident there does no longer also be a choose for abortions.

Because they are just balls of cells, sure they are living cells, but if I step on an ant is it murder? When I use anti-bacterial soap, am I murdering? Do you eat meat, vegetables...murderer?

I think a worse disservice is being done to the world and the child if it is brought into this world with a mother that doesn't want it, and a child social system that is too over burdened to help it, to be put into a foster home where it could be abused, raped or used simply for chores and to get the cheque. (Yes I know not all foster parents are that way, but alot are...I may be wrong, but I think foster parents exist out of neccesity. )

UPDATE: It may be life but it is not a baby...and the woman with the life in her womb and burden gets to make that decision. Are you anti-war? Anti-capital punishment? How much do you send to starving people in developing countries each year? Do you wish they would cut welfare programs in an effort to reduce your taxes? Don't preach to me about human life and tell me about the quality and importance of life unless you can tell me that you support all of the above too.

Immorality and illegality are two seperate things.

Do I think abortion should be considered a method of birth control...no....of course not.

Would you increase your taxes so that the pill could be free to all those that need it?

Um...

First of all, no embryo can survive outside of the mother's womb, which means it is not a fully-formed functional human.

Second of all, if abortions were illegal, the orphan population would be increased by 2-3 million babies per year. There are not currently enough people waiting to adopt to accept this rapid influx of unwanted children. This would be a major dreg on society.

Third of all, when is the last time you adopted a child?

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and adopt a few yourself??

Let me guess, I suppose your ok with the South Dakota law that says even if a girl is raped by her father she can't abort the baby.

Tell me, if Bush and the republicans were so concerned about the health of babies, then why is the cost of health care completely out of control? Are you in line to adopt babies? The hypocrisy of republicans kills me.

You are 100% right. We should wait until they are born to kill them. Thats what you repubs do best.
Oh yeah, you forgot one great detail. Majority of those unwanted pregnancies are teenagers at ages arranged from 14 to 17. Where is a 14 yr old going to find work in order to feed their child.

Deciding to have an abortion is never something that should be taken lightly. But in no way can you equate it to murder. If you really want to educate people, calling them murderers and harassing them at clinics really isn't the keenest way to get your point across. You're severely misinformed, and I can only hope that you don't view your actions as being Christian like, because it's not. Peace.

I'mm a liberal and I don't say that. I'm so liberal I'd frighten Hillary Clinton. Don't tell anyone what they believe or do not believe. Stop lying about liberal attitudes, you would not know what they are, only what you imagine what they might be or what ratbags like that Anne whatshername woman says.

'Cause they operate right out of the old Soviet playbook that requires you to tell outrageous lies in the face of inconvenient facts.

The purpose of this approach is to snare the ignorant and unwary into believing patent nonsense. The sad thing is that it works so often.

It's much easier to call it a "choice" if you can make people forget that there's a human baby involved.

UPDATE: The poster above me is out to lunch. It is unconscionable to suggest that a baby is better off dead than poor. Who gets to make that decision, anyway?
