you always need to read something!! otherwise you can go for a course and this will cost you an arm and a leg.
but try

http://www.handanalysis.com/
or you can get DVD: http://www.hark.net.au/dvd/palmistry-dvd.htm
Here is a geat free site where you can start to obtain some knowleage. Use it on your friends family etc and once you get the feel of it, you will not need it anymore. You must have a deep soul and once you learn to contact with other person the energy will flow and you will 'read' without the books:

Read cheiro's "Language of the hand " It is not a fat book .It is a very simple book in which all hand types and all the basic lines and mounds have been described neatly. Picture of 7 type of pure hands are also given. First learn to identify the type of hand. Mostly you find Mixed hands. very seldom you will come across a pure hand. Learn to identify the seven basic lines and the 7 mounds. If you can do this you can at least identify the type of hand a person has even without looking at the palm.
I have learned palmistry that way and i am good at it.

You need to learn the basics from books. There's no other way.
After that, it's a matter of practice, practice and more practice. But the more you practise, the better you will be. 'Better' means being accurate about events, descriptions and timings.
In order to verify the accuracy of your readings, you'll just have to ask your subjects. After you finish the reading, no cheating.
Sorry, but there's no short cut. At least, not if you want to be a good palm reader.
If you are also a little psychic, you may be able to sense the subject's energies, and may get impressions about him or her. However, this is only used as support info for your main reading.
You will make lots of mistakes, but that's how you will learn. And how the experts became that way.

Hello Aashmi,
Regardless of your motivation to acquire skills in this field - most professional handanalysts learn, study and practice many years to learn and develop their skills - I would like to suggest you to read a little bit about the psychology behind palmistry / palm-reading / hand-analysis. Check:
http://www.handresearch.com/hand/Evolutie/psychoEngels.htm
Good luck ... and I hope you enjoy reading!
Best wishes from The Netherlands.

there's a book by cheiro on palmistry. i think u should get that. apart from complete analysis of many famous ppl's hands, it also views the reader from a teacher-student kinda relationship's view. don't worry the nook is not thick and fat, it's really interesting.

This is a God gifted work, there is nothing in it to understand; predictions are neither done by heart nor done by mind.
