Enlightenment, Self Realization, God Realization, Highest Samadhi are all synonymous and describe a person who knows God.
To answer your question WHO is God I will state the following :
All words, expressions, statements and languages are too limited in scope to define or describe God.
So the only way to know God is to really know who God is through the first hand experience.
That can be achieved through any one of the following :
enlightenment, Self Realization, God Realization, Highest Samadhi etc.

God and the devil were thought up so people could have a label to seperate good and evil, right and wrong. The reason for this is because the HUMAN mind needs that kind of rational basis otherwise mankind would go insane.

If you ask me he's a figment of everyone's immagination, made up so that we as a species don't have to feel so alone, and so that society can control us with something unseen(like the cops that hide in the bushes waiting to pull you over).

god is reality existence life everything that exists ordinary life - enlightenement is realisation ie you realise reality - ie, we are not aware of reality, we are asleep, we are in fantasy, error, unreality, ego, denial, head in sand, imagination, idolising, etc
