Well dear, this has foxed me a couple of times too. Now I just retort with 'may all your camels find a safe place to drink',,, that should do it!

Quit saying stuff in your head and just let it out. It is not good to keep things like this bottled up.
Sometime the responses are worth it.
Sometimes when people say "Have a nice day," I just respond with a "No, Thanks, I had one yesterday and I don't want to get addicted to them!" or something just as odd

It is good to make people reconsider throw away words.

Lol I'm very sarcastic and everyone regards me as being eccentric (though goodness knows why...).

I tend to respond oddly to what is said to me. "Seeya tomorrow!" is usually met with "If I'm not dead."
"Behave yourself", is met with "I always do, only usually badly."
"Look after yourself" = "Sorry, no can do - lost my rear view mirrors".

People just get used to it and don't run away lol, they just think I'm weird. Which in truth, I kinda am. Just like everyone else.

You just have to choose a response you're comfortable with. If you're not sure you can look after yourself, but feel you should respond sociably acceptably, try "I'll try", or "Take care then," or "Thanks, nice to see you," "Or thanks, I'll probably see you around." There are plenty of examples, just choose one that suits you and stop worrying about what people think.

Its one of those things that people don't really want you to answer! Its like when they ask how you are....I always want to say, well quite bad really my cats just died and I've got no money....blah blah blah, just to call thir bluff!

Just say, Yo, see ya later when your legs are straighter

This is a throwaway line, like 'Have a nice day', 'See you later', 'Take care', etc.....an answer is probably not expected.
