I am a nice complexion of light brown, so I know I look best with browns and warm colors close to my skin tone, however, I want to try the smoke eyes, and just something different. I usually just stick to black eyeliner, with boring shadow. Help! I couldn't even begin to apply it correctly. Any websites out there? Anything would help, thanks!

You need to go to sephoras on a sunday and have an artist do that for you. it's free as well and you dont have to waste money either.
I suggest however a great eye shaow...tooface perfect for smokey looks and they havea liquid product that turns any eyeshado into a eye liner. It's perfect!
I have modled and then went to the photography side of that I have worked with make up for years. I love tooface it's great and they have a small palate with like 12 colors with a sample of the liquid eye-liner maker.
Use a good base to keep the color as well a concealer is good on the lids as well to keep the color. If you use too-face they have a black eye shadow with sparkles, perfect and soft enough for smoky-ness- it's hot!

You can use dark browns or bronzes... those usually work well with brown complexions. Also try some purples and navy blues. Even a smoky gray will give you a nice, soft look.

Hi
Just try and try again...
One night before you go to bed, just try and try again...
I usually do it like this...Because it works for me...
Above my eye, on the bottom half of my eye lid I put a dark colour.
Then the upper part I use the same colour but in a different tone(shadow)...........The left part of my upper eyelid is the second shadow(tone) of the same colour....The right part gets a real lighter shade of the same colour...Try it and maybe you'll find something else that works for you.....GOODLUCK

Maybeline makes a black eyeliner with a "smudger" on the other side. You can just line your eyes with it, and use the smudger to make it look smoky. Works great and easy to do
