"Infatuation is instant desire - one set of glands calling to another. Love is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows, one day at a time.
Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine to closely. It might spoil the dream.
Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you - to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his presence, even when he is away. Miles do not separate you. You have so many wonderful little films in your head that you keep replaying. But near or far, you know he is yours and you can wait.
Infatuation says, "We must get married right away. I can't risk losing him." Love says, "Be patient. Don't panic. Plan your future with confidence."
Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. Whenever you are together you hope it will end in intimacy. Love is not based on sex. It is the maturation of friendship that makes sex so much sweeter. You must be friends before you can be lovers.
Infatuation lacks confidence. When he's away, you wonder if he is cheating. Sometimes you check.
Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. He feels your trust, and it makes him even more trustworthy.
Infatuation might lead you to do things you will regret, but love never steers you in the wrong direction.
Love is elevating. It lifts you up. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person than you were before."
* I clipped this from Ann Landers at least 15 years ago and have lived by this when dating. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's "love" or you just want someone there. The man I am with now, I can say is love.

Depend on the person asking the question.
Do you love men as you do money, or a new car or your pet cat?
The LOVE TEST:
1) Think about him all the time.
2) Planning a future with him.
3) Distracted at work or school when you are picturing him doing things to you.
4) change color on your face skin etc when you meet or talk to him. Acting like a little puppy (puppy love)
5) you get wet when he touch you like a hand shake.

When you start feeling sick, and you do not eat, trust me I should know, because all you can do is think about that special person, you pine for them, you just cannot wait to see them next, if it is true Love then they will also feel the same, eye contact is very imporatnt, without it then no relationship would work, but also talking to one another is imporatnt, as you need to get to know each other, so I hope this helps you out?

when you stop asking this question, it means you are happy, fulfilled and complete, love is sharing being a part of the other. walking along side him not in front, not behind but side by side, each step towards happiness and if you wake up in the morning seeing him by your side, finding it difficult to imagine life without him that is being in love.

your heart melts at the thought of that other person....just thinking of them makes your heart beat faster and get this really breathless feeling and sometimes u feel as if you're glowing just with the sheer emotion of the whole feeling. If all that makes any sense.

When you know the person inside and out, warts and all,, and you still want to be with them!
When you realize that your life would not be nearly as good without them.
When you they make you feel special, safe, and important.

When you're always thinking about him...about the time he makes you smile....the time he makes you happy...the time he makes feels special.
And when he's not there (where he's usually is), you'll feel missed. Everyday, you'll be hoping that he'll be there....with you. And when he does, you'll feel that you have a new purpose in life.
