Love it and yes I have noticed a difference in my skin. My skin is clearer since I started using it. The mineral veil is really wonderful too. I really helps with my oily skin! And I have large pore and it does work still. I can wear it all day without having to reapply or touch-up. Also, sometimes near the end of the day I think my skin looks even better than it did in the morning! Crazy!
Let's address the price issue. There are multiple ways to get bare minerals, top three: bareminerals.com (this is where you end up joining a 'club' and they end up sending you things every couple of months, but they have many different starter kits, the cheapest is $60), sephora.com (the also have the $60 starter kit, but you won't have to join a 'club', or you can buy the regular size at $20 a pop), or qvc.com (usually they have some kind of starter kit for around $30, it usually contains one brush, one foundation, and one mineral veil, sometimes warmth also).
If you really aren't sure about it and don't want to spend much then I would recommend going the qvc route.
But if you want to go full force and get all the goodies, consider going the bareminerals.com route (you can always cancel your 'membership' whenever you want).
Then once you've been using it and find out you love it, get the full sized ones at sephora.
Yes, if you only buy drugstore cosmetics (Covergirl, Revlon, Almay, etc...) then it is expensive. But if you normally go to a department store or some other high end make-up brand the price is really competitive. And it does last a long time.
I go the starter kit on bareminerals.com at the beginning of May and just got a new foundation and mineral veil last week. So that is five months of use!
Hope this is helpful!

Highly recommended!
I have been using this product for about 2 months and love it. Personally, I have seen an improvement in my skin, but I am also using a Murad acne system on my face. I think the improvement is definitely a combination of both.
If you go to bareminerals.com though, watch what kit you get. I ordered the second to most expensive one, the 22 piece kit, and I will tell you that I don't use most of what I got. The eyeliner is hard to use and I hated the mascara that came with it. I definitely recommend getting the cheapest kit to start with. A great product to use is the Skin Rev-er Upper - it has glycolic acid and some other ingredients to help even your skin tone, but also provides a base for applying the bare minerals. To purchase this item it's $21.00 alone so if there is a kit with that in it, it would be worth your money to try it since the kits are usually cheaper. The brush you apply it with also makes a huge difference. The kits now come with the handy buki brush, but I don't use that one. I use the full coverage kabuki brush - it's got a short handle, like an inch long and the brush part is larger. I use this to apply the foundation and mineral veil and it's perfect. For the warmth or all over face color, I use the flawless application brush. I think the dvd tells you to use the flawless application brush to apply the foundation, but don't do that if you have imperfections you need to cover! It doesn't have the coverage like the kabuki brush!
Another alternative is to go to ebay - you can find people selling sample starter kits for very cheap. I don't know if the brushes are included or not though, you'll have to watch that.
There are also other makeup manufacturers coming out with their own version of this makeup. BEWARE!!
I tried Loreal Bare Natural makeup and it made my face itch! There is something in it with bismuth ???, and I later found out that ingredient is used as a filler and is highly irritant!
I know that Ulta, if you have that store near you, has their own version of the mineral makeup as well, but I haven't used that one so I don't know anything about it.
Best wishes!

I've been wearing it for 3 1/2 years and I love it. It doesn't clog my pores, and I control the coverage. For me it matches my skin tone which I've had issues with for over 15 years, most foundations would be too light or too dark, usually too dark. If I did find one that worked, they'd change the formulation to make it better and it wouldn't work for me anymore.
It's forgiving, if you miss a spot it's not obvious, and a little goes along way. The full size foundation for me lasts 9 months if not longer. You need a little, if it's not enough then you add a little more. Plus if you sleep with it on, no zits in the morning.
If you're ont he fence stop by either a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora and check it out. Both carry a starter kit which runs $60-$75 and has 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil 3 brushes, instructional DVD.
Give it a try, if you don't like it you can take it back, so you're not really out anything.

I love it!!! I have oily/acne prone skin. It keeps the oil under control all day! And the best part is that I never feel like i'm wearing any makeup. Its so easy to apply and is effortless in the morning. You can put as little or as much on as you need to cover imperfections. It even covers my pimples. When you have oily skin the last thing you need is a heavy makeup on top of it. It was definitely worth the price. I also got the mineral veil to touch up during the day if any oil is showing through.

Yes I like it a lot. I have a combination complextion and get really oily in the T-Zone so my make-up there seems to look caked on. When I switched to this brand I noticed a complete difference and people have been giving me compliments on my complextion. Sephora has a great starter kit and it is actually cheaper then what you can get at Bare Essentials and it has lasted me 6 months so far and I still have about 1/3 left.

I have been using the make up for 6 months now, and I have noticed a dramatic difference in my skin. I have alot less zits. Yes It is expensive, but all you really need is the mineral foundation and the mineral veil to try it out. You should get the Introductory Kit for sure, you get brushes, and sample sizes of the makeup. Def. worth the $60!!! I order mine now from sephora.com because if you spend a certain amount it's free shipping. But hey if your close to a Bare Minerals store...great - I'm 4 hrs from the closest store!!

No. As i've got suggested many cases it does on no account mattify. in case you like a powder beginning place that does that at finished coverage, attempt Lumiere Cosmetics Veena Velvet or common Minerals It or Base Bases. in case you p.c. in basic terms a ending powder, attempt Mattify! Cosmetics extremely. those products honestly artwork.

I bought it and wasted my money. I wouldnt recomend it to anyone with dry skin problems or large pores. I have alrge pores around my nose and when I put on BE it just draws attention to them. Plus it looks like I have put powder all over my face, it doesnt really cover anything up. I would say, if you want to hide your freckles or dark circles use dermablend or wahtever its called.
