I'm sure there are places here in Oklahoma that would gladly hire you. Don't think that just leaving the state will fix your husband problem, sometimes that problem follows you. I've been there.
Leave him! My ex husband was very abusive and almost killed me. I was stupid at first and made excuses as to why I was getting beat up daily. THERE IS NO EXCUSE GOOD ENOUGH.
Get a VPO (victim protection order), call and file a report EVERY time he contacts you. I'm assuming that since you didn't mention any, that you don't have kiddo's, which will make this all that much easier.
Try moving to a different city in Oklahoma first. If that doesn't work then consider moving to a different state. Moving out of state is such a big move. Try Edmond, it's growing by leaps and bounds and I'm sure finding a job with your qualifications shouldn't be hard.
I hope you find something that works for you. Just take "baby steps" first. It will all fall into place afterward.

Just leave. It is better to be poor and smiling than 'comfortable with bruises'. There is absolutely no excuse for any man to ever abuse a woman.

Most people will not hold it against you that you went to a Christian school, or even that you contributed to the fortunes of the "Painter of Blight".

Get a bus ticket somewhere a few hours north, and find a women's shelter. The world is full of people who have never met you but still believe you don't deserve to be abused!

Best wishes...

You'd probably just be better off just moving out of Oklahoma period. You seem to have job skills, so market them in big cities. If you don't have any luck finding a job out of state, try going to an abused shelter for women and seek help there. Good Luck.

Where would you like too live, as far as city / state? The only suggestion I have is find a place where you would like to live. Most cities have low or no cost housing. You would be able to live in one of those places until you can get a job and on your feet.

You need a friend or counselor to help you through your problems. If you are in an abusive relationship, leave. I would suggest a good place to obtain advise is from your family, unless there is pressure from them to stay in your marriage. If your family is not approachable, try the clergy, or someone you can trust.
I really thought Ann provided excellent advise. Try it. Don't give up on yourself. God bless you!
