Lose that attitude. Tell yourself you WILL find a job, then get out there and do it. It doesn't matter what it is right now, when you find one, you can be on the search for another, but you need to have some sort of income. Don't compare yourself to others, you are not them, you're an individual with your own needs/wants/desires, and nobody can achieve those things except you. Keep your head up!

Sounds to me like you need a career change. Sit down, make a list of all the things that you are interested in (work, school, and every hobby etc you like), then look and see what kind of jobs you would like.
Try even monster search and type in your hobbies.. you may have a job that is a lot of fun soon.
26 is not a very old age to worry about being a life-time loser. However, you should be definately thinking about your future.
In your mid 30's and later in life, you will surely be feeling pretty badly about yourself if you don't seriously think about this. You must already be feeling a little badly, or the question wouldn't be posted here, and you are worried already about how it looks.
YOU will work it out... good luck.

The first thing you could say during an interview is something along the lines of, "I don't speak very well and don't interview well. But I'm a hard worker and I can do this job."
It won't work with everyone you may talk to, but it's going to work somewhere. Someone will be impressed you're able to be up front with your weak areas but confident in yourself you can do the job.
If you've never held a job, you may have to take work you consider "beneath you", even if it's only for a few months.

If you believe your inability to communicate verbally is what is keeping you from getting a job, then contact your local community college to see if they offer any communications courses that might help you. If they don't, ask them if they can recommend another school. If you're not comfortable speaking directly with them, email or write a letter.
Attitude is everything. If you think you can't do something, then you can't. If you have the attitude that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to (within the realm of physical possibility, of course), then you have an infinitely greater chance of success. Maybe you need to talk with a counselor to explore why you have such a negative self-view.
Respect is earned, not given. Most people don't dissrespect the unemployed per se; what they dissrespect is a lack of effort. If you want the respect of others, you must prove that you deserve respect.

At 26 you're just not a baby, and in this society, a man at your age should be seeking gainful emplyment and looking to better himself to make a way for his future.
If you can not speak well, you certainly do okay in the writing department. Hone in on your skills and go for it. Don't worry what others think of you. Some temp jobs turn in to permanent. Work with your temp agency, and let them know you are looking for something that is at least temp-to perm.
Good Luck!

Try to start your own simple business like mowing lawns, cleaning or washing windows, and then eventually you might be able to grow it.
You're going to need to learn to speak and express yourself, but if you can't, then write out notes and people will think you're disabled and could hire you for fear of discrimination.
