I have a best friend for the last 8 years. He is a Marine (US) and he left for Iraq and didn't say Goodbye. He didn't say one word to me or see me before he left?
How would you feel or how would you react?
Your comments would be appreciated especially from a Guy' or Marines perspective?

Guy's have a really hard time expressing their feelings sometimes. He probably didn't want to cry in front of you. (I'm a girl, but I am the only girl in my family, so I kinda know the guys mind!) I'm sure it's got to be tough, but he didn't want to say good-bye because he's probably so scared right now. Remember the last time you were together instead and pray for him while he's at war. He didn't say goodbye because he'll be back! I would feel really hurt, but put yourself in his shoes...write him lot's of letters. Don't be mad or angry at him though, be proud of him, he's serving our country right now like a man!

I think you are being VERY selfish. Activation can be done any time and thing get very crazy at that time.

Just email him and sent him a care package and say you miss him, you love him...not that way and he hurt you by not saying good by so when he come back he will have to buy you a drink.

oh by the way there is no liquor or porn in Iraq

properly, in case you recommend leaving for bootcamp, i will say at the same time as he comes again from bootcamp he will be a replaced guy. Bootcamp is meant to bend and destroy you and structure you into the Marine they choose. My boyfriend had a difficult time going from "Marine" mode to "civillian" mode after bootcamp. He became offended, and below pressure, and only drained. He had many cases the position he needed to offer up, yet he became better suited off no longer. you want to face by skill of his aspect and be the supportive lady friend he desires. Smile. a grin and sensible outlooks recommend the international. think about your justifiable share of united statesand downs, and in case you adore him, you already recognize this.

Sometimes when you really care about someone its just too hard to say goodbye. It actually makes you cry. Plus, he may think by not saying goodbye that he will make it home to see you again. God Bless our Service People!

Maybe he just didn't want to see you cry or hurt. Or maybe he doesn't want you to know that he's hurt or see him cry. I was in Iraq...and have many friends who are soliders. Lots of them didn't tell their family good byes becuz they just don't want to see them upset. It hurts them to be away from their love ones.

He doesn't sound like much of a best friend to me. If he really loved you he would have seen you before he left.
