I don't know what lead you to believe that the ECU has failed, but if it has, you can take it to any NAPA parts house and they can send it out for inspection / repair. If the car is newer than 1996, there is a good chance that it will have to be"flashed' by the dealer anyway after its repair. Better to go to the dealer from the start.

NOTE--------> There are no moving parts in the PCM. There is normally NO REASON for them to fail on their own. If it has indeed failed, it is very important to find out why before you install the new unit.
Is there a sensor that has picked up B+ power? Is there an actuator (fuel injector, solenoid, actuator) that has gone to dead short, or (?).
If there is a condition in the car somewhere that has caused the PCM to fail, it will cause the new unit to fail as well, and there is no warranty on it when this is the case. Save a load of money and time and frustration and locate the real problem. Chances are that the PCM may be fine and not need replacement.

Good Luck

there is a search in yahoo and search in youtube that can lead you to this problem, Either rebuild or repair Pcm Ecu or Ecm try to go first to Auto zone, Oreilly or Meridian Autoparts best thing if you can go to carquest if you can get the oem of ecu parts is the cheapest if not rebuild it with this part store and they can take care of it, this is all San Diego Area too, junk yards or auto wrecks could be too much time to look for it and most if you call they just call you back or they will say nothing exactly with your parts number, if you have a favorite mechanic they could probably help you with, it but not all mechanics are familiar with ECU caused its electronics if your Mechanic are expert in electrical chances are the best way to go try to find electrical or electronic mechanic in black mountain, sometimes the problem caused Electrical circuits in your dashboard if its still didn't work try the web to find ECU parts repair or rebuilder. the last hope is the dealer but it could be too expensive.

I cannot answer your question but there is a lot of junkyards in the otay mesa area, if you find a repair shop your car or truck will be down for several weeks until they can get to it. I had a dodge van that needed 1 and i just had a rebuilt 1 installed by my bro in law , who owns a shop. take the old 1's numbers and go down to the junkyards and match them up
