Your thermostat may be "sticking". I also recommend taking the car to a shop for a "coolant flush". You could have a restriction, like calcium deposits, clogging the radiator.

You are low on antifreeze. Check the hoses or under the car for any visible signs of leaks. The fluid is usually a green liquid. Top off the fill bottle and have the system pressure tested for leaks at a reputable garage. Once topped off, the heat should be fine, but check fior that leak, the fluid had to go somewhere.
good luck

I would first check the coolant level, then if that's ok i would start the car,let it run until it warmed up.That is to operating temp.Turn car off then check both radiator hoses to see if they are hot to the touch. If you have one hot and one that isn't you have a circulation problem. If the coolant is clean then you have a thermostat not opening properly,or a water pump going out.

Thermostat. it extremely is the 1st theory. i do no longer think of it stands out as the heater center itself on account which you may know if that replace into going. generally with antifreeze leaking into the passenger area floor and getting a mist that smells like maple syrup by your vents. And in easy terms for $hits and giggles, i might verify any style of fuse that bargains with heating. yet I doubt it extremely is the priority.
