I just heard on the radio that his case has been thrown out of court and that he's been freed. Is this ridiculous or what? Everybody knows that at some point in time this man will molest more children again. In addition to this, he doesn't even have to register as a sexual predator! How would you like this man living in your neighborhood with your children outside playing in the yard with him around? What are we coming to when we allow people like this to roam the streets and have possible contact with our children? Just take a moment ot think about what this means.

He faked the Jon Benet thing to get extradited to the states then the cops lost the evidence they had against him. JMK was set to walk away from this whole thing with a slap on the wrist anyway. Child Porn in California is a misdemeanor so he probably would have been convicted but let go with time served or put on probabtion. He was never looking at a big sentence if one at all.

I heard some lawyers are trying to charge him with obstruction of justice and some type of perjury because of the Jon Benet thing. Chances are he will get out of that with a slap on the wrist if it even happens.

Overall, he has one of the most recognizable faces in America and regardless of what happens to him now the court of public opinion has already judged him. Would you like to be him right now? Everyone in 50 states knows all about the trial and is going to make his life a living hell. I guess that is some justice.

Well then you should write a thank you note to the DA in Colorado....b/c she is responsible for bringing this pervert freak back to the US. IMO...she f**cked up!

JMK has already served time for those charges in California( 6 months...I think), he did not go to some hearing after he got out...he left and went to Thailand(where IMO he should have remained).

Possesion of child ponography is only a misdomeaner in Cali with a max sentence of one year per charge. It is my understanding that basically California wanted to take "another peak" at his hard drive to see if they could find more and possibly charge him ....I am not so sure that would have been possible though. The state of California had that evidence in their posession....and had their bite at the apple....you can not go back and look at the SAME pc of evidence looking for the same type of evidence and say..."oh look, more porn on the pc"..let's charge him some more! I would believe that could be argued that falls under double jeopardy. That's akin to holding evidence back b/c you know the charges would only carry a certain sentence...wait for the person to get out...then charge him again(using the same evidence). Do not blame the legal system for that...blame your legislators for making posession of child porn a misdomeaner!

So the bottom line is JMK is now our(US's) problem! Thanks to that friggin DA in Colorado. Now I have heard rumblings that she(the Colorado DA) could try and possibly charge him with obstruction of justice and false confession...IMO that won't fly either. Had she done her research and some preliminary investigative work she would have soon realized this guy was nothing more than a freak and he was lying...AND she(the DA) didn't even start the investigation on him until AFTER she had him picked up in Thailand.

She should have NEVER brought him back here..DNA tests could have been done thru the FBI office over there....and since we all know he wasn't involved in the Jon Benet Ramsey case he would have remained in Thailand and he would be their problem and not ours!

There have been screw ups all around but the fact is he hasn't been convicted of anything so there is no way to make him register as a sex offender. We have a system of laws and sometimes those laws fail us. We can either ignore the law and have vigilante justice (like the Taliban) or we can press our law makers to make changes to the law.
My understanding is that the Colorado prosecutor can still file obstruction of justice charges against Karr for falsely confessing and interfering with an ongoing investigation. Perhaps if there is enough of a public outcry she will do that

If your evidence is lost in the several years it took to find you then you get to walk the earth as a free person. I am glad however that he has had so much media attention. At least the public will be warned about him. Believe me, this is not the last we have heard from him. I believes he likes the attention and will probably be well paid for it.

Because he is a extremely intelligent man, don't get me wrong, I DO NOT support him at all and believe whole-heartedly that he should be behind bars. But this is the flaw in our legal system if you are wealthy or extremely smart it is very difficult for you to be convicted. Most predators and serial killers are extremely smart and their plans are well thought out! Genius and insanity go hand in hand!!

I understand your worries.. however he has never committed a crime that has been proven against children. He might be strange, but as I posted when he was arrested.. it sounded to me that he was a maniac looking for a free ride home having spent all his dollars in Thailand. Not only did he get a ride home he will be well paid for all the interviews that he will do.

The guy is clearly sick. However, it's doubtful he had anything to do with Jon Benet as he was in another state at the time. I believe they are building a case relating to internet child porn and whatnot against him and he was arrested in Asia for some similar activity. Hopefully, his respite will be short-lived.

Because the justice system in this country is a joke. You can molest a kid and do less jail time than you would get for having a Hundred dollars worth of crack.

I didn't hear that it was thrown out. But if it was it is certainly a very sad day. The police had so much on the guy and he is just one sicko and for that he should be in jail. People like him don't stop ever.
