I'm interested in transitioning my career into IT Strategy, Innovation and Competitive Advantage. I have an undergrad degree in computer information systems and 11+ years in IT in multiple Fortune 500 companies. I'm a certified Project Manager. Do you know of any schools offering MBAs that have a focus on Strategy, Innovation and Competitive Advantage in IT?

If you are looking to change careers, an online degree isn't the way to do it.

My personal opinion is that an MBA is not going to help you much unless you either plan on staying in the same company or go to a top 20 school. Look at the web sites for various schools to see the salaries of people going in and people coming out. You will find that online schools and third tier schools have very little improvement. Second tier schools have a marginal bump in salary. First tier schools see their students doubling their income.

Any of the top schools would be good for what you want -- because they are good in everything. Many second tier schools have one area where they are they excel -- but lag behind in other areas.
