and you want it to be like in usa? if you have money they care about you if you don`t, they let you die..... this are the taxes for! so if you don`t have money you`ll can get health care.... That`s why the Province of Québec should be a separate country because here in Québec we care more about people than about money, not like others that want Canada to be like usa.

If the people of this country (Canada) would give Harper a chance, maybe, just maybe, taxes will be less of a burden. He's already dropped a percentage point on the GST - Goods and Services Tax for those who don't know, with a promise of dropping it again in the near future. Then people rant and rave about - boo-hoo, if taxes are cut than what social programs will be cut to pay for it. Well maybe the government doesn't need to fund things like "This Hour has 22 minutes" or "The Air Farce" or pornographic films like "Bubbles Galore". (Believe me they did that). Everybody's at the trough and THAT has to stop!!

Your level of taxes is high because you have a high level of public services. So by the same token, you're also 'overburdened' with one of the best health care systems in the world.

I'm Canadian and am getting along just fine we don't revolt because most of us like it that way. We are a socialist counrty honey.
I'd hate to have to think twice before I go the doctor because I can't afford it.... Or have the schools like they do in some large urban centre in the states...I'd hate to lose our social programs....I'd hate for someone to have no where to live because I want a reduction in my taxes so I can afford a bigger TV.
Move to the states honey.....(LEGALLY!! I don't want any flack from the anti-immigrant people)

What's your tax rate? Germany's sales tax alone is 16%. They don't revolt because they get free health care, free education, and have some of the loosest work hours I've ever seen.

Don't you get free health care? I wish you could explain that nothing is free to the clods here in the states that seem to think they are due the same thing. I think they would have a different heart if they saw the tax bill.

We aren't suffering at all from taxes, but then again I have actually researched what all of our programs would cost if we didn't have a socialist society.
