But necessary to lead a full life

It is the attitude towards work. Some children play in small groups at being " office going adults", and create a imaginary office, a home, a school, etc a mini world of their own in just a hall in their homes and go through all the hassles of 'real-life-like' scenes that they would have observed from talk of parents. They enjoy it thoroughly, knowing fully well that it is not real ! The same children when they become adults, do not enjoy the 'real' thing ! ! It is just the lack of involvement in what ever they do , that makes it a bore ! How to get or feel involvement is just to see what it does (the work we do) to the lives of others ! What ever work we do, irrespective of the profession, if we maintain in our awareness that it makes the life someone more comfortable, then the joy we get out of such a thought can keep us going cheerfully, with perhaps no time even, to think of boredom !

Well the point of having a job to start is so you can pay bills rent mortgage etc.But when work is boring it's because you really don't want to be there doing it.That's why you always should try to get a job doing something you like. That way you'll have fun while making money.I'll use me as an example-I love animals so I would have a job at a pet shop or an animal clinic.See what i'm saying?

I never did...I was always interested in every aspect of it. I liked what I did, where I worked and had many different jobs. I liked earning my own money and making my own choices, being my own boss with what I made. It has served me well. If you are expecting someone else to take care of you...I wish you well but don't count on it...not for long anyway.,,b/c you will become what you hate, a "bore."

Besides, it is unamerican.

most people don't take the time to find a job that will give them long term satisfaction. it's often mentally easier to get a job quick when the bills are piling up and often harder to quit that steady income job to risk doing something that might have long term rewards but the pay is delayed or low at first.
I say this because I've done both.

for the first question: sometimes people work only to get paid...and that's it. They don't enjoy & they don't have the passion for it. And because of that, alot of people are unhappy with their career.

for the second question: people get 9 to 5's because that is the most conveinent way of getting a job. They don't consider jobs that they will enjoy, but instead get the quickest job they can find.

The reason people find work a bore is because it is not what we would chose to do with our spare time given a free choice, this is also why we are paid to do it.

I work hard for the money, we all need to pay bills. We also work to have the finer and better things in life like a house, a car, and if you have kids you want them to see you do well so that they too will grow to be successful.

Because doing the same thing day after day is absolutely boring. Spice up your work day by playing different music, or by doing something different and rewarding afterwards.

Because it is work. i would like a job like TV travel show presenter, rock star or beer taster. Maybe even close personal assistant to Paris Hilton. Actually that WOULD be hard work.
