He may be going through that seperation anxiety stage where he wants to be attached to you 24/7. I'm not really sure why. I have an 8 month old daughter and she may toss a little during the night, or cry when her binky pops out, but she goes right back to sleep. Maybe you can try to keep him up a little later at night, give him a nice warm bath and maybe give him a snack right before bedtime.
Hope you get some rest soon. I remember those days!

Take him to the doctor and have him take a look at his breathing and stomach. There may be things bothering him that aren't urgent but are waking him up. The opther thing is just that some babies wake up alot. That's part of it. You'd be lucky to have a baby that didn't wake up 4 times a night. Eventually he'll stop doing it so much. But if he isn't hungry, there's probably something bothering him. Just have the doctor take a look.

to get them to sleep through the night you might try feeding them a small bowl of baby cereal before bed. they also may have what is called "night terrors." Night terrors are nothing more then bad dreams of not needing mommy and daddy anymore. There's no treatment for then and nothing you can do but ignore the crying. I know that it's hard but... you have to try. Best answer... do not pick them up or wake them up.

Has he been sick? That could be it too. Sometimes, they just want mommy and daddy. If he's just whiny and not crying/screaming, let him whine it out. My little girl does that. She'll wake up whining but ,after a few minutes, go back to sleep. Good luck. I hope you get some rest soon.

He may be beginning to dream a little. Evenif it's not scary it may startle him awake which will start him crying.
Even if it doesn't look like he is cutting teeth, they may be on their way. It took about 4 weeks for our daughter's top four teeth to come in completely after we saw them start coming in. They could be causing a little bit of pain even under the skin.

My Mom says the best thing is to let them cry and soon enough they'll go back to sleep. A woman she knows had trouble like this, but a baby a little older.

Your little guy is getting to much rest and sleep during the day... That's the problem 99% of the time...

Try not allowing him to have only one nap in the day time or no naps at all, I know nap time for baby is the best for mom but some kids just do not need two naps or a nap at all

PUT SOME CEREAL IN HIS BOTTLE, TO THICKEN UP THE MILK AND FEED IT TO HIM RIGHT BEFORE BEDTIME. I am on my fourth child, of which 2 are a set of twins, and honey cereal is the trick. You will need to make sure the bottle nipple is a little larger for an easier pull. Also, make sure he is not napping to close to bedtime.
