I would like to know if anyone has an opinion as to wheter or not this ticket was justified. Here is the situation.

I live in Texas, I was at an intersection in front of a school, I stopped behind the crosswalk, I started to move forward and then noticed a car coming so I stopped, at this point I was partially in the crosswalk, a child came along and crossed in front of me, I was pulled over and ticketed for "entering a crosswalk when occupied" the way I see it is that the child entered the crosswalk after I occupied it. Was I wrong?

I would fight that ticket in court, those texan cops seem really bored! The cop has to show up to defend the ticket and they usually dont, so it will be tossed out.

Technically, you're not supposed to stop in a cross walk. Unfortunate situation and I'll bet the judge would see it your way but, the cop was correct in his assessment.
