Just wondered how popular I am

I'm glad you said that because I always questioned the meaning of it when Everything but the girl had a hit with a song of that title.
Assuming the saying that you don't miss what you've never had is true, why would the deserts miss the rain?

No by the way.

I've not heard that song in years. Everything But The Girl, right?

I hadn't realised Answers was a popularity thing. I don't think I'd miss you, or any other answerers on this forum if you logged off and did not return. This probably says more about me as a person than about you.

However, whether we bump into each other again or not, at least for a day I won't be able to get that song out of my head.

Now that's a good question...I mean, can something miss something that it's never known before? I mean like, has the desert ever known rain? I guess it knew water once b/c we're told that God once flooded the whole earth with rain, so maybe it has...but then, once you don't have something for such a long time, does you really begin to miss it, or do you just adapt b/c you're used to it not being around anymore?
Now, as for missing you, I don't know you, but Yahoo Answers without people just becomes a green page w/ white boxes. So I'd say that if you've got something to contribute, but left, then you'd be missed.

I don't think the desert misses the rain. The rain misses the desert, that's why it is a desert.

Actually the desert doesn`t miss the rain, because that is how it is meant to be. It is so used to being dry that when it does rain it is bad for the image; and people taking a camel caravan holiday start to sue their travel agent, and things become very nasty. So with that in mind, please stay in the sunshine don`t leave us!
