the back and forwards button on my internet have gone so now i have to press alt and the arrow keys to go backwards and forwards does anyone know how i can get them back

Click "View" and "Toolbars...". Choose the "Customize" option. Highlight the arrows you want to add on the left. Click add.

When you have your window up, go into View at the top and there is Toolbars with an arrow, when the next list comes up its one of those and I believe it is Yahoo toolbar u need to have clicked otherwise it is one of the other ones that are not checked. :) take care

Right click the top toolbar and go to setting to get them back.

That is symptomatic of a browser hijack (malicious spyware). You need to run CWshredder or "hijacthis" determine the malicious hijack and let the program remove it.

click on view/toolbars/standard buttons

right click tool bar and click customize and click reset, and off you go
