There could be other conditions that cause your symptoms, although they do sound more like pregnancy than anything else. The over the counter pregnancy tests can be wrong so the only way you'll know for sure is to see a doctor. If you are really athletic, your periods can stop, but that doesn't account for your other symptoms. Having chronic pain can cause fatigue, irritability, and fluctuating emotions, but it sounds like you didn't have those symptoms before August. The doctor will do a urine test to determine if you are pregnant, and can also do ultra-sounds of your back and abdomen to see if there is another cause. You need to rule out cancer or some other serious disease or problem, so please get to a doctor right away to find out for sure.

You really should see a doctor because home pregnancy test if not used propperly give you a false reading. You may have an ectopic pregnancy aka tubal pregnancy and the only way to know that is if you have a blood pregnancy test done. GO TO THE DOCTOR!

You use the phrase "severe back and abdominal pain," indicating either issues of the reproductive or digestive systems. Nausea and fatigue are often symptomatic of "degrees" of pain, in either system--since this is how your body alerts you to a problem!
See your doctor, and if s/he has no answer, go to a second opinion.
If you are concerned either with cost or anonimity, there are a number of free/private medical facilities in most medium-to-large cities. Contact either your local medical university (who can recommend a free examination or can conduct themselves) or speak with someone at the county health department.
Please do not delay seeking help. No problem is insignificant is pain is involved. And you do not want to "hurt" one moment longer than is absolutely necessary.
Take care.

It could be any number of things. What you might try is looking for a clinic in your area that charges on a sliding scale, depending on your income. You absolutely need to be seen. We women and our reproductive organs can cause numerous problems and most of them cause PMS.

A co-worker of mine recently has similar symptoms and a CT scan revealed a cyst. The doctor is waiting to see if it will shrink or have to be removed.

It might be some medicine that you are taking. Other than that, I'm not sure. You REALLY need to see a doctor. That is the one thing I would do first. I hope you feel better!

Have you lost a lot of weight recently? Or been working out a lot? That can cause lack of a period. You really just need to go to a dr.

You have a hormonal imbalance. Add soy products to your diet, and bite the bullet and see your doctor.
