My 2 year old grandson frequently gets styes, as soon as one goes few weeks later he gets another one, Anyone know how to prevent them or a cure to stop them??

he has been to the doctors and they just said he needs more sleep he still wakes up during the night most nights

That aside, sounds like your boy has a bit of a problem with that eye so a trip to the docs will help. I remember getting a lot of styes in my eyes when I was younger, dont remember what caused them, but I guess I just grew out of them. Hope this helps! Bxx

Frequent syes can be indicative of an underlying problem such as type 1 diabetes or anaemia..Are they styes for sure or could they be small eye infections called meibomian cysts which can be caused by dirt and eyelashes becoming trapped

Wash his hands a lot and massage around his eyes esp the brow area to increase tear production the eyes natural cleansing system.

Your GP if your best bet! Don't try the old wives tale of rubbing a gold band on it though! my Dad tried it, made matters ten times worse!
