When was the last time you had the engine serviced with new filters and plugs? Could have dirty or slightly plugged fuel filter, injector, IAC moter or EGR valve. Any one of these items will cause the problems you are experiencing.
good luck

fuel enrichment valve dirty or contaminated, try injector cleaning additive for one tank and see if that helps. At least it runs and you are not stranded
