Not eating the right things isn't necessarily a major factor. As long as you eat healthily and take your folic acid all should be well.
If you are having trouble conceiving try taking your core body temperature daily so you can tell when you're ovulating and therefore ensure you are having sex at the right time.
It works in a very simple way, get a thermometer, take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed and note it down. i found it helpful to note the details in a diary i also kept by the bed. Your temp should rise for the few days you are ovulating so you know then that you are doing your best at the right time, and not forgetting to lay with you legs in the air afterwards of course!

An unhealthy diet is thought to be the biggest factor in causing polycystic ovaries. I'm not saying you have them but it's an example of something that your diet can directly affect in terms of your chances of getting pregnant (or at least make it difficult). I obviously don't know any thing about you but if you think you really could be eating a bad enough diet to cause you worry about any aspect of your health you should see a GP for some advice at least. Anyway, you don't have to be trying to get pregnant to know that a healthy diet is best for the body for so many reasons. Good luck with everything.

If you are over/under weight because of your diet, then that could affect your ovulation and fertility. If you are ttc, it's best to start changing your bad habits now. You will need to eat healthy when you get pregnant.
If you are ttc, make an appointment with your OBGYN and get an examination, routine blood work, and discuss your medical history. Also, get a prescription for pre-natal vitamins and start taking them. You can also take OTC pre-natal vitamins until you get pregnant. The prescription ones just have more folic acid than the OTC.
Good luck!

not unless you are severly undernurished....most likely it's because you are not understanding your cycle......go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

If you're trying to get pregnant, getting your body ready by eating healthy foods, taking prenatal vitamins and refraining from smoking and drinking will certainly help your chances.
Give your baby the best start. The first few weeks/ months are the most important, but you might not even realize you're pregnant, so don't take any chances.
Good luck.

After sex, lie on your back with your bum on a pillow and your feet held against a wall high above your head. The semen will then be aided by gravity to get where it needs to go.
If you stand up, have a wash etc then you lessen your chances of conceiving.
Top Tip....if you want boys, have sex 5 days after you ovulate, for girls try the first 3 days after you ovulate.
Man in pub told me so it must be true.
