If in the state of new Jersey the minimum wage is 6.15 and it increses to 7.15 does the employer have to adjust his/her employees wage to 7.15

Yes, if they are required to pay the minimum wage in the first place, because when the minimum wage increases, it is STILL the minimum wage.

Yes. It happened this past Sunday. So starting that day you will recieve 7.15hr in your pay. If you don't your employer is not following law and can be penalized A LOT of money.
