I don't think that is a good idea. As your son becomes older he will think that shopping for clothing every weeks is normal. In addition, as time goes it will become increasingly difficult to satisfy him or make him happy. As he get older, shopping trips should be used as rewards for good behavior.

Speaking from a 28 year old male's perspective.

Yeah, kids always come first. But you do need to buy yourself more clothes-just an outfit or so for you also every other week.Like buy him 1 outfit and you 1 outfit. Then next time you go shopping buy him 2 outfits. Then when you go shopping again buy you 1 outfit and him 1 outfit and keep that pattern.

Welcome to parenthood... the simple fact is that he will probably come first for many years to come. Babies outgrow clothes so fast it's unreal. Do treat yourself sometimes, and if you consider second hand clothes for him you can save a bundle. I am guessing he is still too young to care about where they came from. at a year old my kids were oblivious to what they were wearing unless they were trying to get out of it, and if I remember the clothes were always out grown before they were ruined.
