Yes if they have good credit and/or go through the right programs. My daughter was divorced, had 2 little girls & had spent 3 yrs. in the A.F. She bought her house under the G.I. bill. There are various state & federal agencies that will try to help based on income.

If she is legally divorced and has the credit and income to purchase a home, there's no reason that she can't. Banks don't care, money is money.

It depends on how old are you in the first place. In SG those above 35 years can have their own flats. Please check on this website : www.hdb.gov.sg
