NO dont delete your restore points. do you have an anti-virus software? it should delete or quarantine it for you. if you dont have one, download ad-aware. or go to housecall on the internet.

Don't turn off system restore try going before when the computer did not have any Problem and restore to there. Remember anything save on desktop needs to be save to your docs to be able to keep if it was put there after restore point,

Yes...it should unless it is in the most recent restore point.
