Yes, I stopped watching it after 15 mins. But millions of people are still watching! Why?

I love UB, I don't find it offensive what so ever and I am mexican. What specifically do you think makes the show offensive?

It's a lot better than, "Grey's Anatomy" for god's sake, and millions watch that crap.

Actually I think people should feel the exact opposite about the show...it isn't offensive at all. Instead, it shows what normal looking (or slightly ugly), everyday people have to "endure" when they're surrounded by everyone else trying to lose weight, get plastic surgery, getting those "beach" bodies and being surrounded by celeb magazines/images 24/7. But the moral of the show, if you can call it that, is that a) everyone should give people a chance, no matter how they look (can't judge a book by looking at its cover) and b) looks aren't everything.

Why would it ever be offensive? To ulgy people or to show that the attractive people really are mean and hateful? Are you offended cause it shows how the real world is?

If you find it offensive, it's simple.. Don't watch it. Many people like it, and will watch it as long as it is on TV.

I love that show... I don't find it offensive at all... It's pretty realistic on how people judge you solely on how you look. And betty is a down to earth, hardworking, educated latina. Usually Latinas are portrayed as sexy, and airheaded. So I think it's ok that they have a latina that doesn't look to cute, but has brains.. :) Plus the show is a remake of a mexican soap opera, so they're trying to keep it close to the original story..

If you watched Oprah you wouldnt find the show offensive. Selma Hyak and the girl from that show where on there talking about the show and you have to look past the stereo typing to see what they are portraying. Like you are beautiful no matter what you look like. I havent seen the show yet but Oprah made it sound real gooooood.

You are suppose to look past the stereotypes. Betty is not ugly. She is one of the smartest most beautiful people on the show. You should be looking past her appearance and looking at her inner beauty.

I think so. Everyone is just so mean to her it is kind of boring as well as cruel. How many days will she go to work and either quit or be fired....or nearly quit or be fired. So far in 2 shows she has done both and I am worn out by it.

Amazingly, there's this thing called a "channel changer" and when you don't like something, you press the up or down arrow and it goes to another program and you don't have to watch the one that's offensive! Imagine that!

If you don't want to watch the show, don't watch the show. If other people want to watch it, that's not your business.
