Hi, I need to edit some buttons for my website which I downloaded as part of a template.

The buttons already have text on them (e.g. "home") and are saved as one flat jpg image.

I need to change the text on the buttons using photoshop but not sure how to go about it. I think it has something to do with layers.

Can anybody help?

Thanks!

It depends how the image was set up...it might all be on one layer...if so, you just have to block out the text and add your own.

Ok first thing is first you need to get the text out of there, the way your going to do that is your going to have to getting the rectangular lasso tool, and get selct the text. Now delete it, go in and fill the space were the text was with the bg color, now where the text was is now were you can put your new text. GL
