I always give money the British Legion cos i don't think we can do enough to help ex-servicemen/women. They risked their lives to protect us and our freedoms so this is the least we can do.

The best charity to support is the one that you feel happy with, look at their work and programmes of support, is there a charity that has helped you or a person very close to you in any way, if so maybe you could donate to them for the help they gave, I support two charities, Macmillan nurses because they were fantastic with my mom and my family when she was dying of breast cancer and after she had died and Guide dogs for the blind, I love dogs, we have a friend who is blind and they do great work, guess you have to look into your heart and go with your instincts as to which charity you will feel comfortable supporting.

That is a really, really tough question to answer....it's like asking what should my favourite colour be?
All charties are deserving and worthwhile. For my charity donations, I give some to CancerResearch and I also do my bit to donate to Childline. I actually climbed the highest mountain in the Atlas mountains in morocco to raise money for childline this summer....
they are my elected charities - the cancer one because I lost both my grandparents to cancer, and supporting childline started after the birth of my daughter.
no matter where you place your money, the fact that you are donating anything is the key thing.
well done.

surely that depends upon what you believe in and what you have an interest in. there are also more ways to support a charity than giving money. you could help fundfaising activities or give a bit of yoru time to help them in other ways.
if you want to find a genuinie charity have a look at the charity comissions web site. http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/

The charity that means something to you. Like the ones you have mentioned. I give to two charities, both of which do work related to something that has touched my life.
