Normally you would look at the names of male relatives. For example I was named Thomas after my father. Try to avoid names that will embarass your child as he grows up.

i admire Elizabeth if I had to %. one.. and you dont inevitably could flow with a nickname.. i presumed a similar way you do and named my son Nathaniel with intentions of him being Nathan or Nate yet all of us nonetheless calls him Nathaniel and its never been 'too long' or strange for us.
