You may think that I'm totally bonkers, but I love to write limericks. I write them to include the names of my friends, though my ideas can come from anywhere. I write them in a book along with date and time I came up with it, and also the circumstances at the time.
Sometimes when I go to bed I find it hard to switch my brain off and I have all these rhymes going round in my head. I have started taking pen and paper with with me to jot down my ideas and then I can sleep.
I wondered if anyone could think of a great way to use my ideas. (profitable would be good as I'm a single mummy to 3 kids)

Sorry! I just couldn't resist. Seriously, I would see if a greeting card company or a stationery store would be interested in purchasing any from you. Also try an advertising agency or maybe the advertising department of a local radio or TV station. Finally, you could try publishing them in a book. Good Luck!!

Contact a magazine that will receive limericks and publish them. That is a good way to test the value. If you are successful at that level then contact a book publisher, assuming you have enough material to fill a 75 page or so book, and ask to be published. If you have enough magazine published works they might do it. A sure way of failing is to confront a book publisher with out some published work behind you. Of course mega-talent will push through too.

you should start a poetry blog on line. that way you'll attract the attention of other limerick writers which will in turn, attract the attention of advertisers who would pay you to have their advertisements placed on your site.

You might try contacting rubber stamp companies. They sometimes buy interesting verse to go with their stamps.
