He wants us to make our own choices, well hes not giving us much anything to go on is he?

Why would a religion so obviously created to scare people into faith be so widely accepted?
It completely ignores any natural physical and scientific law.
Some even take the words of the bible litterally, what kind of ignorant KOOK do you have to be man?
I dont normally like to ruffle feathers in the nut house but sometimes I just get so frustrated with this stuff, like when you see a baby get baptized, its just terrible.

Right on.
Unfortunately you can't teach people who need to be taught. In other words, you can't reason with a "christian." And you know, they would say exactly the same thing about me as a non-christian. It's funny - we're each convinced that we're "right," we would each like to "enlighten" the other for his own sake, but we each also have a bit of contempt for the other for needing "enlightening" in the first place.
"Christians" would argue the contempt part; yet I know it's true. I'm gay so I've had plenty of experience with the irrational contempt of the so-called "religious." And I thank God for that...lol...because it opened my eyes to the fact that religion can be wrong. I was raised Catholic and I know how hard it can be to get beyond the obstinacy of habit produced by generations of sectarian training; but eventually you have to make a decision as to whether you want to internalize the bigotry and closed-mindedness of that outlook, or whether you want to rebel against it on the evidence of science, history, common sense, and your own natural predisposition.
Incidentally, and I know this comes as a shock to "christians," but I'm NOT an "atheist." Nor do I lead the "unhappy life" that they, in their arrogant bigotry, suspect all non-christians of leading. I'm happy and fulfilled and spiritual. I just don't feel the need to throw my spiritual lot in with acceptance of notorious lies, with the interpretation of fable as history, with antiquated dogmas that insult my intelligence, etc.

I am not sure he does, except that the Bible says we are made in his image and many of us like to play games. I suspect he does as well. I am sure it is hard for him to create a game that he has not already mastered. I am most drawn to the games that can easily be played but are still very difficult to play, i.e. golf and mahjong. In fact I am pretty sure that I will never master either. Like God I like to play, unlike him I can never master. I believe if we will all seek the truth in as unbiased and honest way as possible our search will lead us to the God of the Bible best exemplified in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, The 1 true God Man. I can only accept the truth of that by faith. A pretty good game, I think.

Heyyy God gets bored, wouldn't you? I mean being the most amazing immortal, invisible, ubiquitous all seeing super-being must get boring. All these tiny beings on a little globe must be great entertainment when you've no television. What a great selection of television programs there would be, all starring God

Most if not all human beings do not get the meaning of your question.
god is selfish, god is self centered, god is ambivalent, god is no respecter of what god creates, god is the creator of all things (for the christians who answer this know this he created all evil as well as everything else!)
This place is just not right. There is a flaw in this world. A flaw that is always overlooked.
This world has just too many tears and too much suffering. I do not believe there is any valid, reasonable, logical argument that can explain, justify, or explain this.
Good and Evil! We live in a plural world, in a plural Universe.
I don't like it, I don't embrace it, I don't submit to it! I am getting out much sooner than you might think.
All of what I have experienced during my life tells me this is not a nice place.

first you say you don't believe in the Christian God and then you question his concerns. Let's make up your mind first as to whether he exist or not.Then after coming to know him you might better grasp how he feels. God hasn't threatened man in any way to the contrary He came to the world to save man so that he too could be an eternal being.We live under the grace of God no one is being condemned perhaps it is your conscience that is condemning you? God came in the flesh Jesus Christ to free you from that condemnation. It is your free will to accept the freedom that he offers you. I'm not sure why that would seem to you a scare tactic he offers to die in your place so that you can live forever that is not a thereat that is laying down his life in your place.

It is amazing how we blame so many things on God. Mankind is so busy looking for someone to blame that they totally forget about Satan antics and the antics of mankind false teaching. One thing you have to know is that God does not play game Nor does God want to see you in pain. Also there is no evil in God. So where is this pain coming from. I really would like to know more about what you are going thru. But I know that all the answers you need can be found with God's help so please ask him for help and you will get it without and games being played. Keep the faith.

Protestantism lost all the glamour of Catholicism and replaced it with gruel. The Bible is all about intuition and understanding, not combing its pages for 'proof' or 'lies'. Either there is an acknowledged place for God within us or there is not. And all Christians, ex, lapsed or otherwise, know how seductive and primordial that feeling is, of belonging in some way to God. Rational atheists make the worst company.
