VERY WRONG

Definitely NOT okay. The whole point of buying a bag from a designer such as Louis Vuitton is for the amazing quality that will last you for years and years (not for the name as many people think). Fakes not only cheapen the brand and take money away from the designer, but it's also a business which supports terrorism. Don't believe me? Check out: http://www.mypoupette.com/terror.php

I've seen some fakes go for over 300 dollars; for that amount of money why not just save up more and buy an authentic one? Or perhaps buy a nice coach bag which is also excellent in quality?

No, i've never bought those knockoffs. Not because they don't look real, but because I know they aren't real and it wouldn't make me feel good. Why should I feel like I have to keep up false appearances for society's approval? If I can't afford a $2000 bag, why should I have to feel like I have to buy a fake one? Plus, if you're not driving a luxury vehicle and living in a $400,000 house, you shouldn't have a bag that expensive. I always get sooo annoyed when I see these chicks walking around with Louis Vuitton bags with old navy jeans and driving a Hyundai. It's a contradiction.

Illegal knock-off, no. But imitations or inspired handbags that are clearly labeled as such (and are legal), sure. I don't see a problem with those. If people like the look of designer bags, but can't afford the price of the real thing, why not buy an imitation or an inspired bag?

My mom always said to me "You get what you pay for," so just keep that in mind. It just depends on what type of person you are- I won't carry a knock off purse- I want the real thing. Like my Coach purse- too expensive, but it comes with a warranty of some sort. I've had it two years and counting and it still looks damn good. You just have to take really good care of it (eg: do NOT set on the floor- especially the restroom floor!).

you can buy some really nice knock-offs that can last just as long and for half or less than the cost of the real thing.....but dont go for the cheap ones you see people selling out of the back of their van...really cheesy looking. also the ones with the big brand symbols on them...i mean bigger than LV or DB....those you need to stay away from if they arent the real

but its just my OP

While I say sure why not, you are also buying a product that is not licenced to be the name brand. If you want one, save up and splurge. The real ones last so much longer and look better.

if your cheap and too lame to save up for the original because your impatient then yes. I think its so much nicer to save and have the REAL thing. The real ones last a helluva lot longer too.
