Vs whom? South Americans, Asians, Middle Eastern people? Everyone has their opinions, and if they believe them enough to state them somewhere then they probably really do believe that they are right. I don't think it's just confined to those groups you mentioned.

well maybe it's because we're opinionated or maybe just the ones you run into are trying to correct you because you're wrong. such as this generalization you are making----so allow me, an american in europe to "correct" you and tell you that you're wrong, and generalizing is wrong and racist and "amercans" is spelled a-m-e-r-i-c-a-n-s. i could go on.....
