First of all, try to have some respect. Secondly, there is nothing in Scripture to indicate Joseph's sexual status, though most scholars believe he was a virgin since he was a godly Hebrew male. There is also no mention of their 'honeymoon' since they were only 'promised in marriage' or engaged until after Jesus was born. They did have children later on so you can conclude that they did have a sexual relationship with God's blessing.

I Would Have Thought He Would Have Been A Virgin Because In Them Days People Were Until Marriage And He Was Up Set When He Thought That Mary Had Cheated On Him When She Told Him That She Was With Child So I Would Have Thought That He Was A Virgin But I Have Never Really Thought About It Until Now Great Question Though

That is a very good question. But lets look at the *facts* as they have been handed down to us without the churches interference.

Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit. Joseph was her husband in all ways and in Jewish law of the time he was even before they were *married*.

Now what does the Bible say about this? She was a virgin and gave birth to her first son as a virgin.

Later on Jesus' brothers are knocking at a door so hmmmm?

The chuch teaches us that these were really his cousins, but where is that proven? Not according to the Bible it's not.

What I ask myself time and again what is the most important thing here? That Mary stayed a virgin till she died or that she delivered us our Saviour? I know my answer and in my little part of the universe this good Jewish couple did what all good Jewish couples of their time did and had more children.

Good point. She is known as the Virgin Mary, but he has been left out of the myth. I think you should start a campaign to get him more involved in the story. It seems somewhat unfair.

See if you can get the story re-written to include the Virgin Mary and the Frustrated Joseph.

I mean, questions must have been asked. Mind you, he couldn't have been ther sharpest pencil in the box if he swallowed the immaculate conception story. I wonder how many women would get away with that now and how many husbands would accept thas as fact...?

" oh, the angels told you that you are having the son of god.? OK then. That'll be nice. Cup of tea anyone.? I'll just be out the back cracking one off. Back soon. "

more inconsistencies in the whole work of fiction that is the bible.

I don't think they had honeymoons in those days. Jesus had a lot of brothers and sisters (see below for the quote) so Joseph and Mary obviously did get it together.

don't know. It depends on how easy it would be back in that day to have an affair if your wife isn't giving it to you!

I am not religious person, so i question its genuineness. If they were man and wife surely they must have done it....i mean man has his needs! lol

Most excellent question, but as this is a fictional story, there is probably not a discernable answer. I am sure people have some pretty strong opinions, though. Stand back and watch.
