I recently got my ears pierced, and the first 6 weeks are up. The paper that they gave included instructions saying that I could change my earrings to other post-earrings after the first 4-6 week, but it said I have to wait 6 months before I can wear dangle earrings. None of my friends say to wait because none of them were informed of this when they got their ears pierced. Do you think I can wear dangles now or should I wait? And if you think I should wait, how long do I need to wait? Any help at all would be much appriciated! Thanks!

when i got my ears pierced i left the studs in for at least 10 weeks, that way i knew i wouldn't have any problems with my ears, you know such as sensitivity and ear infections. After the 10 weeks my ears were ready to upgrade to danglies. So after 10-12 weeks is when your ears should be able to take danglies. But whatever you do, don't wear danglies now or you'll be more likely to getting an infection, so trust me it's best to wait a little while like i said before, about at LEAST 10-12 weeks. I payed the price the first time getting my ears pierced and i just couldn't wait to upgrade to danglies and i took my studs out at the 6 week mark, and it was all good for a while but then i suddenly got an ear infection, because my ears just werent ready for the heavy weight of dangly earings just yet, so trust me waiting now will make it so much better later on. You should probably wait to wear them for another few weeks but I don't think you should have to wait 6 months. I only waited about 2 weeks after the additional 6 weeks.

As long as the posts are gold they should not be a problem but, Iw ould advise agains heavy earrings are your ears are still sensitive. If they bother you switch back to your original earrings (the ones you got peirced with) and wait a little longer.
Make sure to still clean the area once a day.

you can wear them as soon as you are comfortable doing so. just dont sleep in them or you might wake up with sore ears. it will go away of course after you get used to it

as long as they are gold posts you should be ok...but be sure they are light weight..if they are heavy that may irritate your ears...so smaller dangles would probly be better and then gradually work up to bigger if you want

I guess you should follow your gut instinct. If you have a feeling your friends might be wrong, then don't listen to them. I personally, would listen to my friends, KNOWING I shouldn't. hahaha Listen to the list they gave you! Good luck!
